Where is the Exaplane data center?
The Exaplane data center is in Gabrovo, Bulgaria, at the foot of the Balkan range. It is a 9,000 m² facility designed from the ground up for high-density AI workloads rather than retrofitted from legacy space.
How much power does the facility have?
The facility has 10 MW of utility power with N+1 redundancy and on-site generation. It is supplemented by a 650 kW on-site solar array and 1 MWh of battery storage behind an own transformer substation, adjacent to the ESO grid substation.
What rack density can Exaplane support?
Exaplane supports up to 130 kW per rack, which is the density high-density AI and GPU workloads require. Cooling and power distribution are engineered for that load rather than adapted to it.
Does customer data stay in the European Union?
Yes. Exaplane operates entirely on European soil, under EU jurisdiction. Inference runs on dedicated instances with no shared tenancy and no data leaving the EU, and storage is encrypted and EU-resident with data-residency guarantees.
Which services does Exaplane offer?
Exaplane offers colocation and Inference-as-a-Service. It also provides Sovereign Cloud environments for regulated industries, plus agents hosting, managed cloud and custom infrastructure builds.
Is Exaplane suitable for banks and regulated enterprises?
Exaplane is engineered for DORA and the EU AI Act, and its Sovereign Cloud provides dedicated compute, inference and storage environments provisioned to a customer’s regulatory perimeter. The certification program covers ISO 27001, ISO 22301, EN 50600 and SOC 2 Type II.
How is the data center connected?
The data center has 2N diverse fiber routes to Sofia, Bucharest and Istanbul. On-site security, a NOC and remote-hands engineering are staffed 24/7.
